Christmas cards

Decided I should start making Christmas cards especially if I'm doing a Christmas stall.

I've made three very different cards so far.

The first is good old Father Christmas coloured in with promarkers, it's the first time I've tried shading with different tones, I'm pleased with the way it turned out.

This one is quite traditional embellished with ribbon and glitter.

The last one is more of a cutesy one

Boxes

Decided to make Jonathan some little boxes for different things as if he is anything like I was he will want to collect things from the beach etc.

I bought three nesting boxes from Nanna's Toy Chest. They were just plain cardboard ones to be decorated.

I did the largest box first. It is a sea theme. Decorated using foam shapes, backing papers and stickers.

The next one down is an animal theme. I used backing papers and stickers.

The smallest box is a space theme again I used backing papers and stickers.

The three together shows different levels of world and space.

Mr & Mrs

Made Sej and Mark's wedding card today.

I bought a stamp from the Range, which I coloured in with promarkers. I put this onto some textured cardstock. Edged the card with some skinny ribbon with hearts on. I stamped Mr & Mrs Tehnsuko using individual letter stamps and a silver stamp pad.

Another card swap

Been busy again.

Here is my card swap for the group "We love our card swap". The theme this month was Kingdom of Magic and Castles. I used a silver mirror card to set it of.

My next two cards are both from the kit I got with this months Let's make cards magazine. I've practising making different shape cards

Monday 18 June 2012

Made my Dad's Father'd Day card using a stamp I got from one of my magazines and then adapted it slightly by using a picture from a book with men's motifs to put the cup in the bear's hand. I used promarkers and metallic biros to colour it in.

This next card was a random make using the kit from Lets Make Cards magazine this month. I have added another chipboard rose at the bottom on the right hand side as I don't know how but the card went a bit funny. It is not shown in this picture.

This last one is another one I used my newest kit for. I have decided to use it for my June swap (Dawn's) which is "Anything Goes". I used a bird chipboard which goes with the backing paper. I then used foam pads to stick on the motif. There is also a pink ribbon bow with a yellow button. I'm really proud of this card, my Husband agrees, he said it's the best card I've made so far.

Welcome

I'm crafting mental.Always have been. I think it was my Grandma Arnott that got me into it more than anything. I remember doing things like silk painting with her and cross stitch.

At the moment I have too main crafting things going on. The first is card making, it was my Mum that got me into it, She made the invites for our wedding and of course I couldn't send her one of her own cards so I made one for her and so the craze began (in my house anyway).

I'm trying to sell them at the moment but it's really hard.

Here's some of my favourites.

I made a scrapbook with Jonathan (my son) for Father's Day, I may put photos up at a later day.

My second crafting item at the moment is a cross-stitch sample I am making for my son's room, I only started a few days ago so won't put up until it's finished.
