Busy busy

I made four cards today. the first 2 are Christmas cards.

I made an anniversary card for our friends 1st wedding anniversary. The picture is one of the cupcakes that were given out to all guests. I used my distress inks for the first time this colour is tattered rose.

The final one for today is my brother-in-law's birthday. He plays for his local darts team.

New cards

Needing to get on and make my swap for this month which had a travel theme. I used an image from my Men Motifs book and coloured it in with promarkers. I used the biggest of my new circular nesting dies to get the 2 circles using the papers I got free with a magazine. Then used the saying "Skies the Limit"

The next one is for my Nephew's 1st birthday. I used my favourite nesting dies with football paper, mirror card and candle paper. I topped this with a blue glittery 1st and put on a chipboard baby with ball. I then put some blue buttons in the corners and wrote Riley Roo at the top

I like nesting dies

This first is for friends who have moved into a new house. I used forever friends decoupage. I used a green textured sheet of cardstock for the background. I then used my nesting dies using green spotted paper and gold mirror card. I then put the decoupage on top. I used green star gems to finish it off.

For the next one I used a similar design for a friends birthday. Instead of green I used a red sheet of textured cardstock and used silver mirror card and and cream card with the nesting dies. On this I then put a chipboard heart. To finish it of I put a red star gem with red glitter dots either side.

For the last of my recent makes I did I design from my "Lets make cards" magazine. The dress was already cut out, I then cut a pinny out of a sheet in the magazine. I stuck on a Happy Birthday sentiment with a chipboard rose. This was finished of with green ribbon and a pink gem

Alles Gute zum Geburtstag

I made Tony's Uncle's birthday card today. He is German so thought I'd do a German card. The picture is a castle in Munich and it says Happy Birthday in German.

Early present

Tony gave me an early birthday present today, a cuttlebug. So of course I had to test it out.

Christening invites

I possibly have an order for me to make some christening invites. The christening is on the 19th August so they haven't given me long but I've made one that I hope they like, I just have to wait for them to get back to me to confirm I can make the rest.

Crafting area

I've got a proper crafting area now. We chose a desk that was suitable but they didn't have it in stock so we decided to go back after they have a delivery. Tony later decided to have a look on Gumtree. He found the exact same one for £30 making a saving of about £60. I've got everything set up including a PINK chair

Christmas cards

Decided I should start making Christmas cards especially if I'm doing a Christmas stall.

I've made three very different cards so far.

The first is good old Father Christmas coloured in with promarkers, it's the first time I've tried shading with different tones, I'm pleased with the way it turned out.

This one is quite traditional embellished with ribbon and glitter.

The last one is more of a cutesy one

Boxes

Decided to make Jonathan some little boxes for different things as if he is anything like I was he will want to collect things from the beach etc.

I bought three nesting boxes from Nanna's Toy Chest. They were just plain cardboard ones to be decorated.

I did the largest box first. It is a sea theme. Decorated using foam shapes, backing papers and stickers.

The next one down is an animal theme. I used backing papers and stickers.

The smallest box is a space theme again I used backing papers and stickers.

The three together shows different levels of world and space.

Mr & Mrs

Made Sej and Mark's wedding card today.

I bought a stamp from the Range, which I coloured in with promarkers. I put this onto some textured cardstock. Edged the card with some skinny ribbon with hearts on. I stamped Mr & Mrs Tehnsuko using individual letter stamps and a silver stamp pad.

Another card swap

Been busy again.

Here is my card swap for the group "We love our card swap". The theme this month was Kingdom of Magic and Castles. I used a silver mirror card to set it of.

My next two cards are both from the kit I got with this months Let's make cards magazine. I've practising making different shape cards

Monday 18 June 2012

Made my Dad's Father'd Day card using a stamp I got from one of my magazines and then adapted it slightly by using a picture from a book with men's motifs to put the cup in the bear's hand. I used promarkers and metallic biros to colour it in.

This next card was a random make using the kit from Lets Make Cards magazine this month. I have added another chipboard rose at the bottom on the right hand side as I don't know how but the card went a bit funny. It is not shown in this picture.

This last one is another one I used my newest kit for. I have decided to use it for my June swap (Dawn's) which is "Anything Goes". I used a bird chipboard which goes with the backing paper. I then used foam pads to stick on the motif. There is also a pink ribbon bow with a yellow button. I'm really proud of this card, my Husband agrees, he said it's the best card I've made so far.

Welcome

I'm crafting mental.Always have been. I think it was my Grandma Arnott that got me into it more than anything. I remember doing things like silk painting with her and cross stitch.

At the moment I have too main crafting things going on. The first is card making, it was my Mum that got me into it, She made the invites for our wedding and of course I couldn't send her one of her own cards so I made one for her and so the craze began (in my house anyway).

I'm trying to sell them at the moment but it's really hard.

Here's some of my favourites.

I made a scrapbook with Jonathan (my son) for Father's Day, I may put photos up at a later day.

My second crafting item at the moment is a cross-stitch sample I am making for my son's room, I only started a few days ago so won't put up until it's finished.
